We are an equal opportunity employer. * Development of Marine Application and Installation Training, in support of new engine programs and existing platforms. - Prepare syllabus and proofread training material including preparation of illustrations, photographs, diagrams, and text into training modules and programs - Develop documentation of the processes (desktop procedures) of the various training tasks. - Keep existing training programs updated as significant changes occur.* Delivery of Marine Training programs via the appropriate training medium such as CD-ROM or classroom in a Train The Trainer capacity - Develop and maintain project schedules and tracking system to assure on time delivery of technical training programs - Support distributors worldwide Area Business Organizations (ABO's) with training material and training modules. - Work with Customer Support Managers, Application Engineers and Area Business Organizations to ensure that: a. A training strategy exists in each territory or country b. A suitable quantity of trained and competent Application Engineers are in place for each territory or country c. Keep existing training programs updated as significant changes occur.* Assist in managing marine training budget.* Project management - record project status or track projects using software such as Excel, Project or Lotus Notes* Travel Requirement approximately 5-15% * Bachelors Degree in Engineering / Training or equivalent experienceKey Performance Measures:1.Training capability of delivery partners / distribution channel 2.Completion of new product program training deliverables3.Growth of training for Cummins MerCruiser Diesel products4.Satisfaction of delivery partners 5.Competence of delivery partnersSKILLS - FUNCTIONAL/TECHNICAL:* Knowledge of engine components and systems operation, maintenance and trouble shooting* Knowledge of marine propulsion systems and how they interact with the engine* Understanding of electronic engine controls & vessel interface systems* Proficient with computers & common software programs* Ability to research, gather, and analyze materials and package in an organized presentation format* Excellent teaching and coaching skills requiredSKILLS - QUALITY/IMPROVEMENT:* Knowledge of problem solving tools and procedures e.g. (7-step, Cause & Effect, FMEA, Fault Trees, etc.)* Ability to document key processes as desk top procedures* Forward thinker* Customer focused* Knowledge of quality processes and performance measures* Experienced in process improvementsSKILLS - TEAMWORK:* Coordinate activities in diverse and distant groups of people* Ability to define achievable and measurable goals * Ability to develop and implement project plans* Excellent verbal and written communication skills* Comfortable interacting with senior management (making presentations, etc.)SKILLS - LEADERSHIP:* Interact positively with customers and colleagues* Ability to participate in teams as both a leader and a team member* Ability to work with a diverse group of people located world wide* Experienced with new product development* Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously"Cummins Inc is an Equal Opportunity Employer and Affirmative Action Employer dedicated to diversity in the workplace."
