Marine Yard Foreman

Our Mantoloking, NJ location has an immediate opening for an experienced full-time Yard Foreman with knowledge of marine yard operations.  The foreman will oversee specialty crews in line with yacht services performed, including service, quality, safety and both customer and employee relations.  Position requires experience operating 35, 50 and 70 ton hydraulic travel lifts, trailering and general blocking, launching and storage of up to 80 foot boats.

Basic Duties:

- Understands budgeted labor and material goals and works with crews to ensure achievement

- Develops full understanding of Hinckley Company product lines, optional equipment and accessories

- Performs technical work within a specific discipline on a direct charge basis

- Oversees materials management to ensure parts are available to crew to complete work orders on schedule

- Accountable for meeting service schedules for specialty crews and adjusting priorities to meet deadlines

- Understands service processess and procedures and assigns work to crew

- Ability to understand the billing process, approve time cards and use the company's computer systems

 

Computer skills, valid vehicle operator's license, flexibility to work overtime, including weekends required.
