Production Supervisor: Crane and Rigging

We have an immediate need for a Production Supervisor of Crane and Rigging in our manufacturing facility (Jeffboat).  This position is responsible for supervising and directing the activity of crane operators and riggers in an effort to adequately supply components to various areas throughout the shipyard. Primary responsibilities include: Ensuring employees are adequately trained in safe work practices and job related technical skills Conducting employee performance evaluations; making recommendations regarding employee relation issues Ensuring compliance with company policies & procedures and collective bargaining agreement as they apply to production employees Ensuring that all government and environmental regulations are followedThe ideal candidate will have a Bachelor's degree and 1-3 years of manufacturing or related experience (previous manufacturing supervision a plus).Excellent interpersonal, written and verbal communication skills are required (fluency in Spanish a plus).  Must have the ability to supervise employees and facilitate teamwork.  Strong organizational skills, attention to detail and the ability to manage time sensitive, high-pressure situations are also required.  This self-starter will be dependable and have knowledge of Microsoft Office software, hazardous material handling, safe practices, MSDS information and OSHA, USCG and EPA, wire, rope, rigging and crane operating regulations.  Knowledge of lean manufacturing concepts a plus.
