Accounting Manager

A global multi-billion dollar company is seeking an Accounting Manager to oversee the General Ledger and Fixed Asset group in general accounting activities.

Responsibilities may include:Managing the recording of accounting transactions in accordance with GAAP and administering approved accounting practices throughout the organization.Managing the general ledger and month end close process and providing results to senior management.Overseeing the accuracy of the domestic accounting records including interfaces into the general ledger and ensuring all accounts are reconciled in accordance with proper procedures.Providing direction to the audit lead and explanations to inquiries from auditors.Ensuring that Sarbanes Oxley documentation is accurate and timely.Responding to inquiries from other managers within the organization and preparing relevant reports as necessary.

 Qualifications:Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance8 years accounting experience with a focus on general ledger and 4 years in a supervisory role.Microsoft Office including Word, Excel, PowerPoint and OutlookExperience leading a team in a large organization through change and process improvement activities.CPA certification preferred.
