Ensures the accurate compilation, analysis, and reporting of financial accounting data. Ensures the general accounting systems and procedures, including financial reporting and account reconciliations, support the division and the financial accounting systems. Prepares, and assists in the preparation, of monthly financial statements, monthly projections, quarterly schedules and annual budget. Prepares reports, analysis and special studies as needed and assists management with general and financial accounting projects. This position may also supervise all or part of accounts payable, accounts receivable, fixed assets and general accounting.RESPONSIBILITIES:1. Develops and implements accounting control procedures and provides staff management over accounting systems and control methods.2. Reviews and controls some or all of accounts payable, accounts receivable, fixed assets, general accounting, and Hyperion functions.3. Compiles and the compilation of periodic financial statements and prepares and submits appropriate operating reports and/or budgetary input.4. May conduct periodic and/or special studies/ analysis. 5. Trains others in general accounting guidelines and procedures.6. Submits periodic reports on assigned topics to management. 7. Prepares journal entries, account reconciliations, budgets, and audit reports based on information provided in various reports.8. Prepares and assists in preparation and consolidation of monthly Financial Statements, including flash reporting, P&L, Balance Sheet and Cash Flow.9. Prepares and assists in preparation of monthly financial statement projections, including consolidation, P&L, Balance Sheet and Cash Flow.10. Direct involvement in Annual Budget Process including preparation, analysis, consolidation and distribution.11. Balance books periodically and prepares profit and loss detail schedules.12. Prepares budget schedules and audit papers.SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES:" Coordinates the activities of 2 or more accounts payable coordinators, accounts receivable coordinators or general ledger accountants. " Evaluates the performance of 2 or more employees based on pre-established performance parameters." Coaches and develops direct support subordinates." Is responsible for subordinate compliance with company policy and corrective actions." 3-6 years related accounting experience." Managerial or supervisory experience."
