Applicator Coordinator
Primary function: To coordinate work assignments for the purchasing support staff, including government documentation, return replacement orders and purchase orders under minimum supervision. Machines & equipment used: Crt, typewriter, calculator, photocopier, telephone duties: 1. Assists supervisor in providing daily work direction and training for purchasing support staff. 2. Organizes office practices and procedures. Coordinates work flow of purchase orders, miscellaneous shipping orders and return replacement orders throughout the purchasing system to ensure timely processing. 3. Interacts closely with personnel in mis, accounts payable, receiving, production control and other support organizations as required. 4. Performs special typing projects of complex nature involving departmental letters, reports, forms and substantiations of orders requiring justification for government documentation. 5. Advises supervisor of work flow problems which may affect functioning of the procurement group. 6. Provides supervisor with additional work-related information relevant to other employees' performance, as required. 7. Prepares weekly/monthly buyer activity reports, monitors and reports status of special tube projects and coordinates flow of procurement change requests and placed order action cards throughout the system. 8. Provides support to the expedite group to ensure timely receipt of parts required to maintain production schedules as required. 9. Performs other related duties as required. Position requirements: Specific training, skills and experience needed to perform the job typically requires five (5) years' general clerical experience including two (2) years in purchasing or an equivalent combination of formal business training and experience. 10.
