Anticipates Future Directions: Forecasts market and technological changes to project the future environment and organization; attempts to influence the environment and prepare for future changes rather than respond to them; involves others in preparing for the future; prepares the organization to effectively deal with the future.Completes tasks within an outline with suggestions for methods for approach and procedure to follow. Provides input to the product team regarding the development of new designs, methods or processes. Reviews literature, patents, and current practices relevant to the solution of current problems. Delivers recommendations and suggestions to other product team members. Applies theoretical models and leading edge methodologies to interpret, draw conclusions and recommend options. Provides technical direction to laboratory personnel.QualificationsA Calibration/Metrology Engineering Technician with 7+ years experience or Bachelor s Degreed Engineer with 3+ years experience in Metrology/Calibration. Familiarization with common industry equipment standards for electrical, mechanical and dimensional calibrations, as well as working with knowledge of ANSI-SPEC.Z540. Good communication skills to be able to exchange information with product team members, designers and technicians, and other engineering personnel. Able to operate under minimal supervision.
