Summary

 

Will support and assist Product Managers and Director regarding all aspects of product management processes and activities.  Assist Product Managers to develop a comprehensive understanding of the customer and end user clinical and economic needs and specific ways that new and existing products can be positioned or improved to drive market share. Learn and support key product lines as it relates to Product Development.  Supports quality monitoring, market research, development of marketing communication plans, and supports the development and execution of product launches.

 

ResponsibilitiesSupport needs business analysis through monthly and quarterly business reviews of sales and market data.Assess product market data through customers and field sales representatives and interaction. Works closely with sales and planning departments to insure accurate/optimal inventories through short and long term product sales forecasting.Responsible for monthly analysis and justification of product sales overages or under performance.Help determine product pricing by utilizing market research data; reviewing production and sales costs; potential sales volume, and costing special and customized orders.Assist the positioning of products by assessing market competition, customer needs and preferences, and reimbursement environment.  Support the team to prepare for and conduct field trials to evaluate product design effectiveness. Participate with Marketing Communications department in development of print media and advertising.

QualificationsEducation in marketing or business equal to a four-year college degree is required or equivalent experience. Must possess a minimum of 2 years of progressive product marketing experience within the medical device industry. Prior sales experience and orthopedic industry experience is a plus.
