Biomedical Technician

Foremost Equipment is a dealer of new and refurbished medical equipment based in Rochester, NY. We are seeking an experienced Biomedical Technician who can function in a fast paced, high volume environment.  This is a full-time, day shift position with growth potential.

Main Job Function:

 

-Perform scheduled maintenance, electrical safety inspections, operation verification procedures and calibrations on medical devices using established guidelines from the manufacturer.-Performs Inspections to maintain a complete and accurate inventory of medical devices. -Performs troubleshooting, service, and repairs of medical equipment. 

Responsible for ensuring all service and documentation is complete, and accurate. 

Evaluation of new equipment, accessories and supplies and inspect incoming equipment for compliance with codes, standards and manufacturer's recommendations. 

-Assist with the administrative responsibilities of the department, including work order, control, maintenance history records, PM and safety inspections requests and repair parts inventory records.

-Assist with managing both biomedical department and warehouse, which may include workflow through the warehouse, oversight of all facets of the order process, organize orders and order flow, equipment, accessories and supplies in order to maximize the productivity of the warehouse.  Secondarily, when needed, will assist the other technicians with their workload, which will include repair, maintenance and troubleshooting of medical equipment and systems. 

The ideal candidate will have an Associates Degree in Biomedical Engineering (or related field) or a minimum 2 years experience or equivalent.  Experience diagnosing and repairing mechanical, electromechanical and/or electronic equipment in the Health field resulting in an in-depth knowledge of electric digital circuitry and thorough understanding of electronic and electro-mechanical devices. Good interpersonal and customer service skills required.  This is a great opportunity for a self-starter who is looking for a place to grow.
