SUMMARY
Primarily, responsible to provide business improvement support to users of Oracle Applications Financial, Order Management, Service, Sales Compensation and Distribution modules. Secondary responsibility to support daily production support of the Oracle system.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned.
Responsible to provide support to end users of Oracle Application at ResMed Corp. This position is 70% functional (Business Analysis/ Systems Analysis) 30% technical. The analyst will learn the ResMed business model and the strategic direction of the company to be able to work with business management and end users to assess, analyze, recommend, and implement business improvements that support the business initiatives with IT enabling projects and change management..
Business Analyst will then use the appropriate software development methodologies prescribed by ResMed to document user requirements to design business solutions. Use of simple techniques to story board the work flow and solution is required. Have the ability to work with local and remote development teams to get solution developed and implemented to deliver value.
Secondary responsibilities include System Administration which covers activities like setting up users, registering printers, recommending and creating report sets, etc. System Administration is performed in conjunction with guidelines setup by Global IT organization. Supports users of third party "bolt on" applications that work in conjunction with Oracle.
Works on special projects, including supporting implementation and release upgrades to Oracle Applications and related third party applications.
Communicates very clearly and professionally with users, peers, and all levels of management. The communication forms includes written and verbal methods.
Adhere to the processes and work policies defined by ResMed management.
EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE
Bachelor's degree (B.S.) from four-year college or university. Information systems major or minor preferred. Understanding of business processes and ability to apply educational and practical experience to simplify business processes, standardize business processes and provide simplified and standardized solutions to achieve the business objectives. Ability to provide both innovative and improvement solutions to current and anticipated business challenges.
3-5 years Oracle ERP Applications (11.5.6 upwards). Experience performing trouble shooting of Oracle application problems, including resolution of problems with Oracle system interfaces, concurrent programs, forms, triggers and data in tables. Very experienced with using PL/SQL to write scripts to extract, analyze, modify, and update data in Oracle applications tables. Experience with setting up, maintaining, and troubleshooting Oracle Workflows. Strong understanding of Oracle table structures across multiple modules. Experience working in the manufacturing/distribution/service industries. Oracle Application implementation and Oracle Release 11i experience required. Independent problems solving skills. Experience implementing business improvements through more effective use of Oracle Applications and related software. Very strong interpersonal and communication skills and ability to interact positively with peer groups with in IT and outside IT and management.
