Capital Equipment Sales Specialist

Butler Animal Health Supply is the national leader in the sale and distribution of pharmaceuticals, medical supplies and equipment to the veterinary industry. We have an immediate full-time opportunity for a Capital Equipment Sales Specialist which will cover our Southern Region. In this position, the selected candidate will be responsible for detailing and selling Capital Equipment programs and services; working with Sales Management and Territory Managers to train and drive Equipment Sales at the field level bringing unique solutions to the practice through revenue generation via Capital Equipment Solutions; traveling to Veterinary practices at least 3 weeks a month while riding with approximately 2 territory managers a week; working closely with Regional Manager to identify priorities for capital equipment sales in the region becoming totally familiar with the equipment so information about the equipment, its operation, and its repair can be provided to the customer and Territory Manager; working with management to provide and develop seminars and workshops which will promote equipment sales to veterinary practices; providing training to territory managers to enable them to become more self –sufficient in capital equipment .   In addition, the candidate will also be responsible for demonstrating an understanding  of the needs of veterinary practices and their ability to generate revenue growth through Capital Equipment; assisting practices experiencing difficulty with capital equipment or who need solutions that can be filled by the purchase of capital equipment by trouble shooing in conjunction with TM, DM and RM as needed; determining priorities and strategies in order to best market capital equipment; ensuring ongoing two-way communication regarding problem resolution or product/process improvements for capital equipment; identifying, developing, and delivering sales training programs pertaining to capital equipment in conjunction with VP Sales, RMs and DMs, and marketing and demonstrating a good understanding of the needs of veterinary practices and how capital equipment plays a role in revenue generation for the practice. Requirements for this position include:    Bachelor of Science in Health related field, or equivalent combination of education and experience. Minimum of 2 years experience selling capital equipment. Demonstrated competency in developing training programs for capital equipment. Demonstrated competency in conducting capital equipment seminars. Prior experience in the animal health industry is preferred. Demonstrated proficiency with PCs including Word, PowerPoint, Excel, and Outlook. Demonstrated ability to learn capital equipment systems quickly. Highly Effective written and oral communication skills. Demonstrated presentation skills. Strong project management and organizational skills. Ability to draft professional business correspondence.
