Change Order Technician

We have an immediate opportunity in our Wallingford, CT territory for:Change Order TechnicianResponsibilities: Requires an in-depth knowledge of a change control system, how to process change orders in an SAP environment, and an in-depth understanding of manufacturing environment and Quality System Procedures.Coordinate the day-to-day activities of change order requests in SAP and track all ECR/ECOs to completion.Maintain SAP Business Workplace ECR/ECO mailbox.Use SAP to create and maintain documents, material masters, and bills of materials.Use Word, Excel, Adobe, and various other software packages to maintain documents.Electronic file maintenance using SAP PDM and manual file system.Work under challenging deadlines and be accountable for completing work within specified time periods.Contribute to a team-oriented, continuous improvement, quality process.Work on special projects as assigned.Other duties as assigned by management.Possess the ability to make sound decisions with regard to Quality/Regulatory related matters ensuring that QA/RA interests are maintained.Ability to work with others to accomplish assignments / tasks.Leverage available resources and capabilities. Requirements: BA in a related field of study and/or relevant experience in change control.Minimum of 1 to 3 years experience in an Engineering organization with change order processing.Knowledge of ISO 9001 and FDA Quality System Regulations.Ability to speak effectively and communicate directly with all levels of personnel.Ability to correspond to internal and external customers.Excellent attention to detail, high word processing accuracy, strong organizational skills, computer and SAP proficient.Exhibit ability to resolve issues related to day-to-day activities specific job responsibilities within the Document Control Group.Understand when resolution of issues related to day-to-day activities must be brought to management's attention.Able to understand and follow Quality System Procedures.Able to read and understand Engineering drawings for design and manufacturing.Strong self-motivation and ability to work under supervision.At Respironics Inc., our products improve the lives of patients with a variety of respiratory needs in the hospital, homecare, critical care and neonatal environments.
