Clerk III, Shipping/Receiving

Primary Function 

Coordinates and leads daily activities of all Finished Goods/Shipping personnel including receiving, storing, inventory control, Order Fulfillment, Material Transfers, Kit Packaging, and all related documentation in support of Sales, Production, Regulatory compliance and overall Supply Chain.  Serves as backup to the Finished Goods/Shipping Supervisor.

 Duties and Responsibilities 

Understands and adheres to general safety policies and practices. Responsible for quality and adheres to departmental process requirements, the Advanced Bionics Quality Policy and Strategic Plan. Help manage the coverage strategy, rotates as necessary and works well with all group members, both within the team and cross functionally.  Demonstrates, promotes and suggests ideas for process flows, accuracy, and other continuous improvement initiatives. Takes an active leadership role in developing and driving all process improvement activities. Understands and follows all Advanced Bionics and site specific policies and procedures. Performs routine functions in DataFlo for all Finished Goods/Shipping processes to include inventory research, cycle counts, and reconciliation.  Ability to become a Certified Trainer as determined by the supervisor. If acting as a Trainer, responsible for training others and maintaining accurate training files for others. Establishes relationships and acts as a liaison to proactively communicate between all cross-functional teams by utilizing effective written and verbal communication skills.

 Specialized Knowledge & Skills 

Computer applications and systems knowledge for stockroom processes; Basic knowledge of common PC software.

 Experience  

Typically 2-4 years experience in a Distribution and Production Support Logistics environment.

 Education & Training

High School or GED required.  Prefer additional post-secondary courses.

 Physical Environment/Working Conditions

Required to reach with hands and arms.  Prolonged periods of standing.  Occasionally required to climb, balance, stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl.  Ability to lift and move up to 40 pounds.

 Responsibility for Personnel (Supervisory)

Serves as Backup Supervisor and actively leads and directs the activities of all Finished Goods/Shipping personnel.  Overtime required.
