JOB SUMMARY: This role will assist the Chief Compliance Officer and Compliance Specialists with updating, enhancing and administering the Compliance Program, as well as provide administrative support to the Compliance team. This role will assist with internal compliance investigations and perform Compliance Program auditing and monitoring, as well as assist with maintaining the Compliance Hotline.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Maintain the master Compliance Program Manual and incorporate changes into the Manual as requested.Maintain employee access to electronic compliance manual.Perform on-going auditing and monitoring as requested. Provide audit and monitoring findings to Compliance Specialists for their review, and support Compliance Team in preparing auditing and monitoring response tools. Maintain compliance training and certification records in compliance with the Interim Record Retention Plan.Maintain the employee training and certification database. Track employee information – assure all active employees are in compliance with the Training Plan.Process co-pay waiver applications to assure compliance with Medicare and Medicaid anti-kickback/beneficiary inducement guidance. Perform analysis of co-pay waiver approvals and denials, forward statistical reports to Compliance Specialists for review.Gather and analyze data, and generate reports for presentationsMaintain files; prepare data reports; develop and maintain spreadsheets/databases for co-pay waivers, compliance training, investigations, etc.Other duties may be assigned.
EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE REQUIRED:
High school diploma or equivalency required.Prefer experience with third party reimbursement issues, including regulatory and documentation requirements for claims submissions.Experience dealing with internal and external customers.Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, Acrobat Reader/Writer, and other analysis software required. Proficiency with JDEdwards preferred.Ability to collect and review technical data from the internet and various other sources.Detail oriented and ability to work with minimal supervision.Ability to communicate and interact diplomatically with employees, physicians, and clinicians.Excellent organizational, problem solving and project management skills.Proven discretionary conduct and ability to be undaunted by problematic customers.Ability to understand difficult governmental and technical jargon and translate understanding to non-technical personnel/patients.
