JOB SUMMARY: The Configuration Manager will be responsible for leadership and direction of the NaviCare Patient Flow Configuration Analysts, setting and enforcing configuration standards related to the NaviCare Patient Flow application, ensuring the successful completion of configuration activities, and working with the remainder of the NaviCare Patient Flow team to ensure the successful completion of NaviCare project and improving the application.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Provide daily work direction to Configuration Analyst staff.Liaison with Design Analyst on new implementation projects to verify requirements and help set direction of Configuration Analysts.Lead the development of configuration hour quotes with Design Analysts for new implementation projects (new customers) and enhancement activities (existing customers) projects.Manage the QA process for configuration for both new implementation projects and enhancement activities.Document, improve, enhance and enforce the defined configuration standards related to NaviCare Patient Flow.Liaison with Product Development to specify new NaviCare product functionality and associated configuration techniques as new product releases occur.Document new configuration techniques as they become available and maintain the configuration standards documentation in an always-current state.Liaison with Product Development on the maintenance of the standard base configuration.Train configuration team members on new product functionality and associated configuration techniques.Communicate with existing customers to determine ongoing configuration enhancement requirements, provide quotations as needed, document requirements for the configuration team, and manage configuration enhancement projects to successful completion.Ensure that customer configurations conform to NaviCare design principles and standards, are logical, and model the customer’s patient flow in a way that enhances workflow management.Maintain information on customer installation details in a corporate database for easy retrieval to facilitate ongoing customer support.Gain and maintain a detailed and technical understanding of NaviCare system software design and capabilities.Provide leadership in the continuous improvement of customer implementation tools, automation of configuration processes, implementation processes and documentation.Assist in the development and implementation of procedures for measuring customer satisfaction during and after installations.Make product development recommendations based on customer input.Maintain time log in connection configuration activities.This position supervises the work of several Configuration Analysts.Other duties may be assigned.
EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE REQUIRED:
Bachelor’s degree in a healthcare or technical field.Five plus years’ experience in leadership role in a healthcare or technical field.Five plus years experience in a project-oriented environment.Deep understanding of NaviCare Patient Flow configuration techniques, standard and processes.Strong understanding of NaviCare development processes and structure.Demonstrated strong people management, leadership and organizational skills.Working knowledge of healthcare process flow, terminology and inter-organizational dynamics.Excellent written and oral communication skills.Demonstrated ability to successfully manage multiple technical projects.Demonstrated ability to capture and document technical and user requirements in an articulate and organized manner.A professional, positive and enthusiastic attitude.Highly customer focused with a commitment to customer care and building long-term relationships.Strong PC literacy.Familiar with PC network architecture and documentation tools.Familiar with Sybase, Oracle or other database software.Knowledge of Microsoft products, including CRM.
