Contract Administrator
Directs and administers activities concerned with preparation, review, negotiation, implementation, and reporting for sales contracts and proposals. Works internally with National Contracts, Customer Relations, Sales, and Legal departments, and externally with group purchasing administrators, government personnel, domestic and international distributors, and other customers.
Responsibilities Prepares responses to all contracts and bids including major proposals solicited from group purchasing organizations (GPO's) as well as filings and certifications. Analyzes proposals and contracts to determine and resolve any areas of concerns. Supervises the internal routing of all such proposals to ensure deadlines are met in preparation of response. Provides sales data for determination of contract pricing and assists with contract negotiations. Following contract awards, disseminates information of requirements to all affected BREG departments to ensure smooth and efficient implementation. Maintains records and monitors contract performance to determine necessity for amendments or extensions of contracts and compliance with all reporting and payment obligations.Works with IT and Oracle Applications Specialist to create automated reporting options. Takes a lead role in evaluating and improving processes/procedures.
Qualifications A Bachelor's degree required with business or healthcare field focus preferred.Minimum of 2-3 years experience in processing, analyzing, and interpreting agreements and contracts.Previous experience with group purchasing organizations, federal supply schedule, and/or rebate contracts in a medical environment is highly desirable.Proficient in Word, Excel, Access, Crystal Reports, including the ability to compose and understand complex data grouping and data selection criteria and formulas. Cognos experience desirable.
