Responsible for ensuring that all chemicals are received, detrashed, bar-coded, and received into chemical tracking system. Position requires experience in Chemical Management, or Environmental Health & Safety or Hazardous Materials. Ideal candidates would have HAZWOPER, DOT and RCRA training certificates. Independently makes decisions and utilizes available resources to meet customer requirements, which includes Fisher Scientific mainframe systems, CISPro, Fisher Scientific procedures, customer procedures, chemical stockroom, chemical material handling and chemical pharmacy management. Utilizes advanced systems or performs the functions stated below:, Fisher Scientific Internet, CISPro, MS Excel and Word, and other customer systems. Displays a high level of confidentiality for both customer and Fisher. Analyzes/maintains/reconciles various customer and Fisher reports to ensure customer and Fisher requirements are met. Communicates with direct supervisor any customer issues or potential problems, Promotes personal growth and development by staying abreast of new policies and enhancements without the presence of site trainer and management team. Listens to customer concerns, effectively diffuses dissatisfaction, and quickly identifies course of action with a goal of resolution within established turnaround times. Establishes and fosters positive customer relationships. Provides dedicated service at customer’s facility, which includes chemical order entry, chemical order management, chemical stockroom services, chemical material handling, operates and manages CISPro database.
