Customer Support/Service Representative

 

Nonin Medical, Inc., based in Plymouth, MN, has been in the business of designing, manufacturing, and distributing high quality medical monitoring devices since 1986.  We offer an innovative and dynamic work environment with the opportunity to contribute to a growing organization.  We are currently seeking an experienced Customer Support Representative to join our Customer Support Team!

 

The Customer Support Representative will provide exceptional service to Nonin’s domestic and international distributors and customers.  The individual in this role processes sales orders, determines product availability, prioritizes orders based on availability and communicates shipping dates with distributors and individual customers.  This position reports to the Customer Support Supervisor.

 

The ideal candidate will possess prior experience in a phone and e-mail based customer support/service role, exceptional communications skills, experience working with databases and a service-oriented attitude!

 

Responsibilities:

· Accept, process and maintain domestic or international customer and distributor purchase orders.

· Monitor and maintain distributor and customer accounts status in database including setting up and revising accounts.

· Utilize information on current and future inventory and production levels while advising customers on the availability of product and when purchase orders will ship.

· Maintain appropriate information in customer and/or distributor files including Open Sales Order file, Individual Distributor files, distributor contracts, individual part number information, information unique to each distributor and credit history information.

· Provide appropriate clinical application and technical information regarding all products including product descriptions.

· Maintain attention to detail in communications and files despite frequent interruptions.

 

Minimum Qualifications:

· Education & Experience: HS Diploma and 1-3 years of related customer service experience.

· Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

· Customer-focused attitude.

· Demonstrated ability to communicate effectively with customers and coworkers.

· Ability to read, comprehend and convey information from documents such as operating and procedure manuals, sales and distribution agreements and letters of credit.

· Good basic mathematical skills with ability to calculate figures such as discounts, freight estimates, dimensional weight and percentages.

· Strong attention to detail.

· Ability to work both independently and in a team setting.

· Strong computer skills with proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook). 

 

Preferred Qualifications:

· Prior experience working with databases and inventory management systems such as MAX.

· Experience with international shipping.

· Prior experience in the medical device industry.
