Director, Professionals Marketing

SUMMARY: The Director is responsible for setting the marketing strategy and tactics for
Cochlear and Baha products including all product launches within the North American region.  The position establishes sales, margin and market share goals for the products for the region. The position reports to the VP, Marketing and will lead a team of Marketing/Product Managers

 

 

DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:

1. Commercialization Planning

2. Develop and direct product positioning and commercial execution for two product franchises (by channel and customer)

3. Coordinate product launches with cross-functional organizations including sales, reimbursement, clinical, regulatory

4. Lead the sales forecasting process with finance.

5. Perform business and financial analysis - customer segmentation

6. Set pricing strategy

7. Represent the Voice of the Customer to ensure product marketing programs and tactics help the brand connect with customers (e.g. health care professionals)

8. Identify clinical data necessary for product promotion to health care professionals

9. Oversee product lifecycle strategies including obsolescence

10. Partner with Global Product Development/Marketing team to lead product launches in North America

11. Supervise and mentor staff, proactively supporting their professional development

12. Participate in sales meetings, training and industry trade shows

13. Other duties as required

 

 

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS: Proven business leader, Solid commercialization planning and execution skills—proven ability to identify/define business questions and issues, conduct analysis, formulate actionable ideas and recommend/sell a point-of-view to senior management. High-energy, self-starter possessing a high degree of self-confidence and exhibits a bias for action. Demonstrates good executive presence. Exceptional oral and written communication skills, with the ability to interact effectively with all levels of management. Innovative and creative—demonstrated ability to leverage customer insights to identify and evaluate creative ideas, focusing on those that will create sustainable competitive advantage. Proven ability to manage multiple tasks concurrently under aggressive timelines in a dynamic environment while maintaining strong attention to detail and quick recall. Four or more years with successful commercial launch (es) expertise. MBA preferred, BA/BS in business or science/engineering. Able to travel up to 30% including nights and weekends.
