Director of Sales for leading medical device CO Description  This position can be located anywhere in the Bay Area!!! Position Purpose:  Summarize in one sentence the main purpose of your position (that is, what is your position expected to accomplish?)  Hire, motivate, control, coach, and direct the Medical sales force in the region to accomplish company objectives.  Weight # Job Duty or Project/(PC) Performance Criteria  50% 1. Insure that company sales goals and budget objectives are accomplished through implementation of performance objectives programs, policies, and instructions.    (PC)  The degree to which sales forecasts are met or exceeded. 10% 2. Maintains adequate sales and service force in the region.  Recruits and selects Sales Representatives.  Recommends hiring, performance appraisal, and termination of Sales Representatives to Director of Sales.  Recommends salary and territory revisions.  Assists Director of Sales in determining representative territory objectives.  (PC) Turnover rates and sales effectiveness.  10% 3. Coaches Sales Representatives in sale of products.  Makes field sales calls with the Sales Representative.  Periodically analyzes with Sales Representative’s objectives for present and prospective customers, sales activity demands, and specific programs for effective sales coverage.  (PC) Increase in call effectiveness, training effectiveness, and share of the market. 10%  4. Compares actual to planned results and reviews Sales Representative’s reports and schedules meetings to counsel, advise, assist, and direct their activities.  10%  5. Recommends capital equipment and expense budgets.  Reviews and approves Sales Representatives expense reports and takes necessary steps to keep expenses within approved budgets and policies.  (PC) The degree to which expense budgets are met.  2.5%  6. Studies market reports from Westlake and maintains an awareness of local market conditions and competitive conditions.    2.5% 7. Attends scheduled meetings/conferences and trade shows as required.   5% 8. Responsible for overall management of Regional corporate Accounts.  Success in maintaining  increasing sales in these systems is the responsibility of the Regional Manager.   Requirements Experience Required:· 5 years medical capital equipment sales experience.· Demonstrated management abilities.Education:· B.S./B.A.Or equivalent combination of education and experience.
