Distribution Supervisor

Under the direction of the Warehouse Operations Manager, the Warehouse Operations Supervisor provides direction, leadership and supervision of all daily activities associated with warehouse operations.  This is a 2nd shift position with a work schedule of 5:00 pm - 1:30 am (or the work is complete) and has responsibility for:  Ensuring responsibilities of employees and initiatives within the facility are supported and implemented Coordinating hourly distribution employees performing functions in the following areas: receiving, picking, checking/packing, wrapping, and loading  Fostering an environment of teamwork within the operation Developing and mentoring employees  Dividing time between the various functions to ensure steady workflow, optimum productivity and reduced overtime  Reviewing productivity numbers and aligning responsibilities to meet organizational goals amid shifting labor to meet work demand  Conducting performance reviews  Facilitating daily team meetings with all employees to motivate, communicate priorities and objectives, and provide other critical information  Monitoring and managing overtime  Implementing corrective actions to meet goals Ensuring that all company policies are followed on an consistent basis Ensuring the proper completion of housekeeping duties  Ensuring that QRA policies and procedures are followed, including training   High School diploma or equivalent required Undergraduate Bachelor's degree preferred Experience in distribution environment preferred Knowledge of warehouse management systems knowledge preferred Strong interpersonal and leadership skills Ability to be detail-oriented Ability to be a self-motivated team player Strong computer skills in Microsoft Word, Excel, Access and PowerPoint  Excellent communication skills (verbal and written) Proficiency in the operation of material handling equipmentAbility to lift up to 75 pounds frequently
