Durable Medical Equipment (DME) Service Technician/Driver

The Field Service Technician is responsible for scheduling and delivery of Durable Medical Equipment (DME) to the customer in a timely and professional manner, including educating the patient/care giver on the operation and safe use of equipment.  Responsible for equipment, warehouse maintenance, and tracking of inventory at all times. 

 

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

· Responsible for delivery and set up of equipment in accordance with arranged schedule to the customer/patients in a timely and professional manner.

 

· Instructs and demonstrates patient/care giver/nurse on proper and safe use of equipment. 

 

· Loads equipment in an orderly and secure manner in accordance with EquipTech™ Policies.

 

· Drives safely and defensively obeying all traffic laws.

 

· Provides safe environment for the patient at all times.

 

· Checks electrical outlets for power whenever delivering electrically powered Home Medical Equipment.

 

· Is available to rotate on-call with field service technicians and must be available to travel when needed.

 

· Reports unusual occurrences regarding patients or property to Supervisor and/or Manager.

 

 

Requirements:

 

· Two years of customer service or comparable experience required.  · Must be dedicated to providing outstanding customer service.

· High School Diploma or equivalent required.

· Must have willingness and ability to work extended workweek, including some evenings and weekends.

· Ability to lift up to 100 lbs.

· Must have a current state driver’s license in the state the applicant resides.

· Previous driving/delivery experience is preferred.

· Must have and maintain a good driving record.

·Must pass physical functional testing.

· Must Complete all required training.

· Ability to work independently and in a team setting.

· Good communication skills both verbally and in writing.
