JOB DESCRIPTION:
Execute process improvements and supply chain excellence in division s field-based organization through influence and interface with Area Field Operations and Sales personnel.ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Support and provide guidance to a group of branches/agencies, resulting in achievement of operational excellence while supporting top-line sales growthBecome a value-added business partner/consultant to the branches/agencies to help them achieve their goals while optimizing operationsEnsure inventory accuracy by directing regular, complete and accurate cycle counting within throughout assigned territoryCreate, implement and roll-out tools to the field aimed at improving operational efficiencyIdentify and implement IT solutions to improve productivity; act as field super user by becoming subject matter expert for new tools (e.g. ERP) and spreading knowledge throughout the fieldCreate, implement and roll-out operational best practices throughout the field that will streamline the company s overall supply chainBuild enduring, productive relationships with Area Vice Presidents, Branch Managers/Agent Principals, Branch Operations Managers and other field office personnelBecome an expert in 5 Pillars program and ensure successful implementation throughout the fieldApply 4D and other problem solving techniques to address breakdowns in the field and share resulting best practicesServe as liaison between field and corporate headquarters to bridge gaps and achieve field operational consistency in communication and commonality of goalsCreate and track key metrics (e.g. inventory turns, service levels, etc.) to drive field operational improvementsDrive compliance to ISO, regulatory and QA system requirementsWork with the Field Operations Development Manager to develop the strengths and skills of the Branch operations personnelAssist in the selection of field ops personnelAssist with field operations budgeting and attainment cost of sales targets by implementing lean operations practicesOversee cost effective facility management and space definitionDefine requirements, select, negotiate, and manage the construction and relocationParticipate in the development of field operation training material and the execution of trainingQUALIFICATIONS:
5 - 10 years in supply chain, logistics, distribution, customer service, etc.Ability to influence and lead a team of non-direct reports and cross-functional associates to achieve desired operational resultsDemonstrated experience in project managementAbility to apply technical applications to business processesProven track record of process improvements based on sound problem-solving practices is highly desirableDemonstrated interpersonal, managerial and diplomatic skills/talents; demonstrated ability to communicate and interact effectively with all levels of the organizationSelf-starting, self-motivating mindset with the ability to work remotelyEDUCATION:
