Field Service/Systems Engineer

We have an immediate need for a Field Service/Systems Engineer to be located primarily in the Houston area and be responsible for the installation, service, troubleshooting, and testing systems for use in NMR applications.  The qualified individual will install and repair NMR spectrometers in the southeast U.S., Mexico and Latin America.  Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

 

· Installs, services, repairs and maintains highly advanced spectrometers for NMR applications.

· Assembles and tests consoles, records and analyzes test data.

· Participates in training and guidance of customer personnel.

 

The ideal candidate will have an Associate’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Physics, Chemistry or related discipline required; Bachelor’s degree preferred.  Experience in troubleshooting problems in complex electronic equipment is required.  Demonstrated knowledge of NMR spectroscopy a plus. A working knowledge of LUNIX and/or Windows XP/2000 operating systems and an aptitude for RF and digital electronics for those with chemistry or physics degrees required. Other required qualifications include:

 

· Excellent communication skills with the ability to communicate complex technical issues in an easy to understand manner. 

· Ability to speak another language in addition to English is a plus.

· Strong technical skills on analytical instrumentation.

· Customer focus and interaction.The ability to take the initiative and to work independently.

Must be willing and able to travel nationally on a regular basis and internationally occasionally. Must maintain current travel documents.
