Graphics Production Supervisor

General: The Graphics Production Supervisor is responsible for working with the Director of Marketing Services and graphics team in the project and production management, scheduling, planning, design, layout and implementation of all catalogs, flyers, proposals and other marketing collateral material.

Responsibilities and Duties:

Assist the Director of Marketing Services with all timelines, production schedules and any other necessary reports related to catalogs, flyers, proposals and other marketing collateral material.

Recruit, employ and retain qualified employees for marketing and graphics department to maintain appropriate staffing levels.

Train and develop employees. Ensure adequate staff education and evaluation.

Complete performance evaluations on direct reports and in accordance with company policy. Ensure performance evaluations are completed in accordance with company policy.

Work closely with the graphic design team from a project management standpoint to ensure they have the required information to begin production, and then follow up on a daily basis to ensure production is proceeding on schedule, according to the predetermined production deadlines.

Work closely with the Creative Manager and Copywriter to ensure all creative content is developed and approved prior to the predetermined production start dates.

Proofread and edit all catalogs, flyers, proposals and other marketing collateral material for consistency, accuracy and grammatical integrity.

Assist with the research and collection of product information and artwork for all catalogs, flyers, proposals and other marketing collateral material.

Process, record and provide weekly status reports on all vendor advertisements and missing information related to catalogs, flyers, proposals and other marketing collateral material.

Attend weekly graphics department meetings and catalog project meetings upon request.

Attend "Press Checks" as necessary.

Complete special projects as assigned.

Comply with laws and regulations as they pertain to services provided by the Company. This includes supporting and demonstrating compliance with the Company's Compliance and HIPAA Plans.

Support and demonstrate the Company’s eight (8) principles of leadership.

Oversee the safety of assigned department to include evaluating and rectifying departmental safety hazards.

Understand and follow all safety guidelines for the department and company.

Identify, support and demonstrate the company’s culture and values as well as departmental sub-cultures to ensure quality service to both internal and external company customers.

Qualifications:

Education: Bachelor degree in graphic design, marketing or related field and or equivalent experience

Experience & Knowledge: Experience in graphic design or catalog production or ability to be trained

Computer experience in design packages for Macintosh including Photoshop, Indesign and Freehand/Illustrator or ability to be trained

Previous marketing and project management experience preferred

Excellent communication skills
