HUMAN RESOURCES DIRECTOR

Director of Human Resources

Responsible for directing all Human Resources functions of the corporation in accordance with the policies and practices of the corporation, regulations and governmental organizations.

Reports To:  CEO

Principle Responsibilities and Duties:

Design and implement HR policies and procedures

Management and ownership of recruiting process, working with external recruiters and other resources to rapidly fill positions with high-caliber candidates as required.

Benefits management (maintaining a competitive package)

Compensation management and analysis

Workforce planning and development

Regulations and compliance management

Organization and administration of corporate programs and events

Foster a culture of harmony and enthusiasm (employee relations and retention)

Prepare documentation for Board of Director meetings and executive meetings as needed

Provide counsel regarding human resource and employee issues to all levels of management and other employees

Assist in employee dispute resolution, with key attention to legal and ethical considerations, with a goal of maintaining positive employee morale and allegiance to the company

Experience, Education, Training, Traits:

BS and 15 years experience, which includes leadership in progressive organizations.  5 years experience in recruiting

Working knowledge of Federal and California State Labor law

Ability to be strategic and visionary yet hands-on to manage day-to-day assignments

Strong team-working, communication and organizational skills and the ability to communication with all levels of the company. An energetic, out-of-the box thinker, creative individual with high ethical standards.

Deep understanding and experience with start-up growth dynamics

Evidence of leadership and a management style characterized by vision, teamwork, preparation, organization, communication and negotiation. Successful management of relationships at all levels of the organization.

Candidate should be a strong team player with the demonstrated abilities and willingness to wear “multiple hats” and perform a wide range of tasks (from menial to analytical) within a dynamic environment.
