Hardware Test, Repair, and Assembly Technician

Description:
Canfield Scientific, Inc. is the leading supplier of digital 2D and emerging 3D photographic equipment, imaging software, and computer systems for advanced patient imaging serving both physicians and the healthcare industry.

We are currently seeking a highly motivated individual with 5+ years electrical assembly experience to fill the role of Hardware Test, Repair, and Assembly Technician for our cutting-edge product line.

Must have proven experience in the following skill areas:
1)  Able to debug and repair basic circuit board assemblies

a. Able to read and understand circuit schematics

b.  Able to read and understand functional product schematics

2)  Able to do functional board level and product level testing

a. Understands how to operate basic electrical test equipment (meters, oscilloscopes,…)

b.  Able to identify and communicate failure trends

3)  Able to do basic soldering and assembly work to repair defective products (where required) and perform subsequent assembly for product that passes tests.

4)  Has basic computer skills and understanding

a. Able to operate basic firmware programmables (chips)

b.  Basic understanding of Microsoft Office products (particularly Excel).
