Job Description 

 

As a Help Desk and Desktop Support Technician you will be responsible for working within the framework of a team and performing the following activities:Provide PC, software, and telecom technical support to company team members as part of Applied’s IT Help Desk.Deploy, maintain and support company desk computers, telephones and printers.User account management, system backup management, system monitoring and other administrative tasks.Assist senior IT staff with server and network configuration, administration and monitoring.Create and maintain departmental forms and paperwork dealing with account security and asset information.Helpdesk support, user training and administration.

Job Requirements

 

This position requires the following skills and attributes:Strong PC, software, and network troubleshooting skills.Windows 2000/XP/Vista, Active Directory, Microsoft Office, Outlook.Well written and verbal communication skills, dependable, self-starter, eager to learn.Ability to follow documented processes, high attention to detail.Strong interpersonal communication skills. A minimum of two years prior Help Desk or Desktop Support experience.Bachelor’s degree.

The following is preferred:Recent MCP Certification or higher.
