IT NETWORK ADMINISTRATOR II
With 3+ years IT networking (WAN, LAN, Wireless LAN, Telephony) experience working in a multi-location networked environment, the incumbent shares responsibility for support and operation of Smiths Medical Global Communications Network. The successful candidate will work as a team member to ensure the continuous operation of Smiths Medical's WAN, LAN, wireless, mobile and telephony global infrastructure 24x7x365. 

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
• Creation of, maintenance of and adherence to relevant standards.
• Creation of, maintenance of and adherence to relevant documentation.
• Managing technologies and services relevant to the global communications/network infrastructure by working directly with the technologies, third party suppliers/service providers/partners, and members of Smiths IT Infrastructure team.
• Interfacing with suppliers and service providers for system management (i.e., Macs, problem resolution, monitoring, forward planning and billing).
• Interfacing with internal customers to bring the appropriate standards, systems, services, trouble resolutions in line to satisfy their business requirements.
• Off hours coverage for system maintenance and outages management.
• Off hours project implementations and management.

Qualifications include:
• 3-5 years previous experience.
• A four-year degree in MIS or related field or equivalent work experience; CCNA preferred, but not required.
• Knowledge of computer networks.
• Ability to troubleshoot system problems.
• Ability to work in a team setting, as well as independently.
• Ability to handle and work under stressful situations.
• Good written/verbal communication, multitasking, organizational and interpersonal skills.
