SUMMARY: The Local Supply Chain Manager manages the optimization of the supply chain from order entry to raw material receipt to customer delivery. Additionally, this position manages the Material Master, Bill of Materials, Routings, and Work Centers of all Belen, NM plant produced materials. Supervises the Production Scheduler(s).   ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: Essential duties and responsibilities of the position include, but are not limited to the following:   Supply Chain responsibilities: 1.  Follows processes (generates and enforces standard operating procedures), including but not limited to: · analyzing Supply Chain processes and production capacity · managing optimal scheduling (including lot size) from order confirmation, raw material requests to delivery in line with on-time delivery goals and cost optimization · managing optimal inventory in line with goals and demand · optimizing flow for warehouse and distribution including stock transfers, safety stock, and shipping. · coordinating changes control. 2.  Interacts and communicates with Management, Sales & Inside Sales, Quality Control, Logistics, Plant Controlling, Accounting, NPI, R&D, Maintenance, Purchasing, and Human Resources on production, facility issues, and scheduling. 3.  Analyzes and resolves work problems or assists workers in solving work problems and conflicts. 4.  Maintains Scheduling records (SAP, appropriate forms, etc.) and reports. 5.  Reports late deliveries, late order confirmations, long lead times and corrective actions daily and weekly to the Plant Manager. 6.  Reports monthly on-time deliveries ratio and inventory levels 7.  Provides fair and equitable treatment of employees 8.  Applies and enforces company policies to workers and enforces safety regulations. 9.  Promotes teamwork, motivates by initiating/suggesting plans through coaching and employee involvement on operating procedures; computer systems; equipment operation; and other assignments, and reviews and analyzes job performance of scheduling personnel. 10.  Travels as necessary.  11.  Creates and manages with Plant Controlling and NPI the new material creation (SAP Material Master, Bill of Materials, Routers, etc.).  12.  Performs other related duties as assigned.   SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES: Supervises the Production Scheduler(s)

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE: Bachelor's Degree in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, or another appropriate discipline and at least six (6) years of prior experience in a similar position within a manufacturing environment required. Pharmaceutical experience a plus.
