Manager, Electrical Systems Engineering
Accuray™ Inc. is a global leader in the field of radiosurgery dedicated to providing an improved quality of life and a treatment to those diagnosed with cancer. It develops and markets the CyberKnife® System, the worlds first and only robotic radiosurgery system designed to treat tumors anywhere in the body with sub-millimeter accuracy. We are currently looking for a Manager, Electrical Systems Engineering to become a member of our dynamic team.
Position Description
Management of a team in Hardware Engineering focused on design and integration of CyberKnife electrical and electronic systems ranging from microcontroller based assemblies to high kW power distributionLead individual responsible for managing cross-functional teams in design, implementation, test and transfer to Manufacturing of new CyberKnife features or updates to existing featuresProject management within the Electrical Engineering Systems team of upgrades to the CyberKnife electronic/electrical assemblies; creating requirements, working with outside design firms, planning and coordination of testing of new hardware, managing release processEnsure compliance with GMP design control practices for all design changesWork with Continuing Engineering to resolve issues in installed base and manufacturing
Position Requirements
Minimum 5 years management experienceMinimum 10 years experience with systems design and design of electronics assembliesBSEE or equivalent degree required, advanced degree desired, or equivalent experienceExcellent judgment and demonstrated ability to drive issues to closureBroad electronics, integration and troubleshooting experience ranging from board level to 19-inch equipment racksAbility to take a design from the concept stage through build, test, integration and transfer to manufacturing using a combination of analytic and hands-on techniquesExcellent verbal and written communications skillsExpert in problem solving and troubleshooting complex systemsExperience working in an ISO-9000/ISO-13485 or aerospace environmentExperience with OrCAD, and AutoCAD strongly desirable
