Manager, Manufacturing Management

Join a growing, global company genuinely committed to making a difference for our customers and communities. The Manufacturing Management Manager is responsible for directing the overall manufacturing operations and ensuring that products are being produced according to specifications while meeting performance objectives. Responsible for ensuring that the ongoing manufacturing operations run as efficiently and as cost effectively as possible Within the manufacturing scope, complete responsibility includes; production, quality, financial and strategic planning, employee morale, safety, and maintenance.This position also has responsibility for purchasing, production planning, and inventory control.Responsible for improving utilization of equipment and facilities, and recommending improvements to, or purchase of new capital equipment Responsible for the preparation and control of manufacturing budget Will play a key role in managing production scheduling and appropriate manning levelsSubmits periodic reports to management on current status of various responsibilities; makes recommendations in cases of unsatisfactory results, and develops methods and measurements to improve production efficiency and effectiveness Develops and maintains active cost, scrap, and labor efficiency programs to improve the profit position Establishes formal objectives with subordinates and periodically reviews their performance against the standards that have been set Develops and implements projects to achieve higher efficiencies and/or cost savings Is responsible for developing and maintaining technically competent workforce. Knowledge of Risk Assessment techniques and methods (FMEA) in addressing Projects, Validations, etc.Bachelor’s degree in Business, Engineering or Industrial Management; or the equivalency plus a minimum of 5 years lean manufacturing supervison experience, preferably in medical device manufacturing.Experience working in a lean manufacturing environment is a strong plus.Must have a thorough knowledge of manufacturing principles and practices.Ability to plan, organize and direct effectively and possess an advanced degree of communication skills both oral and written.Requires a thorough knowledge of business finances and budgeting, production operations, and personnel practices.Incumbent should have a proven track record of increased responsibility, project management, and self-motivation.
