Manufacturing Associate- Disposable parts of Medical Devices

Opportunity for a Manufacturing Associate in the Disposables area of a medical device manufacturing company in Hayward, CA. This is a direct hire position with benefits.

The responsible person  performs operations required for production assembly for medical device manufacturing.

The responsibilities include:

1. Executes sequenced procedures in all aspects of assembly, testing and final packaging including, verifying component part numbers.

2.  Responsible for personal safety, product quality, and meeting specified work standards, following applicable procedures and guidelines.

3.  Support Manufacturing and Quality in assembly and/or inspection of plastic components.

4.  Recommend and implement changes to and/or modify fixturing and equipment to improve performance.

5.  Operate related equipment; conducts tests and reports data in prescribed format.

6.  Ability to use measuring devices, hand tools, jigs, fixtures

7.  Perform any other duties assigned by the supervisor.

The qualifications include:

1.  High school diploma or equivalent, plus minimum of 2 years prior experience in clean room assembly environment. Disposables manufacturing experience a plus.

2.  Must be able to pay attention to details and processes, good organizational, interpersonal, verbal and written skills.

3.  Knowledge of ESD requirements and usage

4.  Knowledge of FDA Good Manufacturing Practices, ISO 13485-2003

5.  Ability to maintain a record of the assembly process, progress, and problems

6.  Physical requirements include lifting 18-25 lbs. and disassembling instruments using hand tools.

Organizational duties include:

1.  The Manufacturing Associate reports directly to Sr. Manufacturing Engineer and has a support responsibility to all functional directors and managers.

2.  Support company goals and objectives, policies and procedures, Quality System Regulation, and FDA/MDD regulations.

3. Apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral or diagram form.
