Manufacturing Engineering Manager

  Manages the planning and completion of manufacturing/production engineering projects., including the design and development of manufacturing processes, tooling, and fixtures in order to meet daily production schedules while enhancing productivity and product quality.Duties & Responsibilities: -Leads the AngioSeal Franchise manufacturing engineering staff. -Technical liaison between Minnesota and Puerto Rico operations. -Provide leadership to manufacturing engineering staff regarding project prioritization, process validations, and continuous improvements -Support continuing production and new product introductions -Monitor and evaluate project and department progress and results -Participate in cross-functional teams -Review and approve protocol and written reports -Manage and develop technical staff (i.e., engineers and technicians) -Manage department budgetTypical Minimum Education Requirements: BS in Engineering, Industrial Management, or equivalent Preferred: Advanced degree in business, science, or technologyTypical Years of Experience Required: Manager:  5 years minimum relevant experience with Engineering Degree Relevant management experience comprises: -Management or supervision of operations related technical staff in a FDA regulated environment. -Project management or supervision of technical staff in a FDA regulated environment. -Development and administration of functional department procedures for the Medical Device Industry -Conducting technology assessments and developing tooling and equipment for plastic molding, device assembly, special processes.Other Requirements: -Experience with statistical techniques (e.g., DOE, SPC)  -Solid people management and communication skills -Solid knowledge of GMP, ISO regulations.  -Prior experience in medical device manufacturing preferred  If you are interested in exploring this job opportunity with St. Jude Medical, visit “Careers” on our website at www.sjm.com and apply to requisition 8372 or click on the link below. APPLY NOW  St. Jude Medical is an equal opportunity employer.
