Market Development Manager
Our client has an excellent and exciting career opportunity in its business development area for a product marketing expert. The opening is for a Market Development Manager in the Chicago, IL and Milwaukee, WI area. Candidate Responsibilities: Identify industry trends and market initiatives and work with Product and Sales Managers to create and implement strategic initiatives to keep pace with the market, i.e. compliance. Prepare proposals, negotiate contracts and new project justification analysis. Support client decision-making regarding alternative incentive and marketing strategies. Input ideas for new products by using market intelligence gathered internally and externally Develop voice of the customer profile and scorecard Develop target market process Understand product life cycle Develop product mix strategy, brand strategy, labeling and product ID and service strategies Develop distribution channels and identify channel partners as well as the physical distribution system including EDI Develop advertisement strategies, including media relations, sales promotion, including trade show, collateral and web-site content Price determination - establish price elasticity function and establish price goals for targeted marketCandidate Qualifications: 6 or more years of experience in Product Marketing or a related field. Bachelors degree is a must, a Masters Degree is a plus Knowledge of medical devices and equipment markets, marketing information and an understanding of what information is available and how it is used. Understanding of cross-cultural/international marketing issues. High integrity and ethical standards.
