Marketing Product Manager - Cardiology

The Marketing Product Manager will plan and coordinate marketing activities for ABIOMED’s cardiology products as well as develop clinical marketing strategy to meet key measures of sales revenues, market share and growth.

 

Principle Duties and Responsibilities:

 Specific customer focus will include interventional cardiologists, heart failure cardiologists and hospital administrators. Launch exciting new products into the US market, including Impella catheter based technologies.  Responsible for developing the specific customer market and referring physician strategies to penetrate the market. Professionally presents clinical issues within the organization and to external customers and organizations. Increase referral patterns from cardiology groups by producing specific market strategy and sales tools including presentations, peer reviewed publications, national and local symposiums and events. Identifies clinical issues, health care trends, and customer needs and translates them into suggestions for new product and service designs and enhancements. Defines customer needs, translates needs to requirements and identifies key features for new products. Works with Field Sales and Clinical Support to identify marketing and educational programs to assist in meeting key measures of sales revenues, market share and growth. Develop expert knowledge of customer/market requirements, clinical trends and competitor activities through market research, attendance at selected medical society meetings and close contact with recognized key opinion leaders in mechanical circulatory assist.Analyze business/market/competitor trends and customer needs and supports the VP of Marketing to translate into innovative marketing programs to maximize business success

 

Job Qualifications:

  Bachelor’s degree, MBA or RN degree preferred, 7 - 10 years minimum marketing experience in the medical device industry. Clinical experience in cardiology is desirable Strong project management, planning and organizing skills required. Excellent communication and presentation skills. Ability to travel when needed.
