Marketing Product Manager with Sciton
Sciton Inc., (Palo Alto, CA) is a privately owned medical device company formed in 1997 to provide advanced lasers and light sources to the aesthetic medical markets.
Sciton has introduced PROFILE™, the only configurable light and laser based platform for aesthetic practitioners. In 1998 Sciton's first product, the Contour™ laser - for procedures requiring precision tissue ablation with controllable coagulation - became an immediate market leader and is now considered the gold standard for skin peeling. Sciton introduced a high performance Laser Hair Removal system in 2000, which is now available as a Module for the Profile platform.
Sciton's design philosophy is to provide systems that are technical and performance leaders for their applications, giving physicians the highest possible value; to ensure extraordinary reliability and durability, resulting in the highest rate of productive hours; and to deliver systems that solve real problems and improve the human condition.

Summary:
In this role, you will prepare marketing strategies and programs for a product or product line. This position operates in a matrix organization and must interact with several departments.
Responsibilities:
Evaluate product performance to help develop and update company goals and objectivesDevelop strategic and tactical plan for product Conduct market research to develop the product forecastAssist in meeting the corporate product revenue goal, and managing the product expense budgetPrepare product objectives and timelinesDay to day management of product; producing collateral materials for sales force, working with clinical on publications plan, working with sales training on training initiatives, etc.Manage product life-cycle and works with clinical and operations on life-cycle initiatives, e.g. publications plan, product and clinical enhancement, etc. Recommend changes to current product development method based on market research and new trendsAdvise sales team on any relevant product concernsConduct competitive analysis comparing product with those of key competitorsDevelop and champion pre-launch and launch plans
Requirements:
· Minimum of 3 years experience in related field
· Must have Bachelor’s degree
· At least 2 years experience as a Product Manager within medical device industry
· Must be able to identify and resolve problems in a timely manner
· Strong analytical skills and creativity
· Excellent interpersonal skills
· Understanding of FDA guidelines and compliance
· Knowledge of contact management systems, internet software, spreadsheet software and word processing and graphics software
· Must have the ability to become and expert on the product(s)
· Must have ability to think strategically
· Must be able to execute a tactical plan, with paying attention to minute details
· Must be able to use feedback to modify designs and apply design principles
· Demonstrate attention to detail
· Experience collaborating with R&D on relevant projects, including generating a comprehensive timeline and Gantt chart
· Ability to speak clearly and persuasively in positive or negative situations
· Must possess excellent oral and written communication skills
· Ability to build morale and group commitments to goals and objectives
· Must be able to translate concepts and information into images
· Must be able to travel 10% of the time
