Medical Collector

Great job opportunity in the Horsham area for a large, fast growing company!

 

Looking for qualified individuals that motivated, able to work independently, have the desire and learn and make decisions on their own. 

 

RESPONSIBILITIES:

-Follow-up account receivable and collections of highly complex claims issues.

-These duties include, but are not limited to, reimbursements, cash and denial applications of assigned Third Party accounts.

-Assignments will include complex Medicare and Medicaid claims, complex self- pay and commercial accounts, assignment of super user duties, and ability to act in supervisor’s absence to maintain an efficient departmental process.

 

QUALIFICATIONS:

-Three years’ experience in Medical Collections and claims processing

-Highly defined experience with patient accounting systems – SMS Invision preferred.

-Thorough knowledge of Third Party Payers including governmental, non-governmental, commercial and self pay contracts.

-Thorough knowledge of CPT/ICD9/HCPCS coding and medical terminology.

-Strong and reliable analytical and problem solving skills.

-Self motivated, self directed –works autonomously in a fast paced environment.

-Reliable, dependable and maintains excellent attendance and punctuality at all times.

-Excellent communication skills – oral and written, including ability to process report information as needed, compose complex correspondence, negotiate difficult issues with carriers and/or providers.

-Proficient in Microsoft Office including Excel and Word applications.

-Customer Service skills including sensitivity and highly developed judgment.
