Medical Device Sales Representative

Job Description:  Present products to surgeons, hospital operating rooms and outpatient surgery centers.  Candidates must be highly motivated and possess a strong work ethic, as our employees work without constant supervision.

 

Products:  The surgical devices include a broad range of leading edge laparoscopic and minimally invasive products.  Sixty-five percent of the products are disposable devices and the other thirty-five percent represents capital equipment.

 

Qualifications:  Candidates must have: 1. A proven track record of success in a medical sales capacity (minimum of 5 years with at least 2 years with a market leader) and meaningful customer contacts in the defined territory, 2. A four-year bachelor’s degree, 3. An ability to build solid customer relationships quickly, 4. A comfort level selling both disposable and reusable medical devices in an operating room during surgery, 5. Strong closing skills, and 6. A working knowledge of the human anatomy.

 

Territory Description:  Orange County

 

Compensation Package:  Starting salary of approximately $60,000 per year, depending on experience (we would consider even a higher salary for top performers with significant surgical device sales experience and numerous customer contacts that we could leverage), an aggressive commission package, 401K program, expense reimbursement and a health and dental plan.  Top sales representatives for our company are tracking over $120,000 per year total compensation (salary plus commissions).
