Multimedia Designer

Position Description:

The Multimedia Designer will be an integral part of a multidisciplinary team that develops marketing graphics, collateral, presentations, training materials, and online promotions. The ideal candidate is an assertive, forward-thinking problem solver who is motivated to produce great work. He or she will work closely with the Web Content Team to develop and expand their creative abilities, and will ensure that creative concepts meet Toshiba’s strategic goals. We also desire an individual who will keep up to date on industry trends and regularly conduct competitive analysis. Responsibilities Include:• Create graphics for use on the web and in print materials and manage graphic modifications or enhancements to the web site and related applications • Develop and create layout for multiple websites with unique audiences • Design, layout and programming of content for web & print campaigns • Create web graphics, animation, user interfaces and icons. • Must be able to work on multiple projects simultaneously

Qualifications:

Required Qualifications & Experience• 7+ years experience in graphic design, web development, or online marketing • Ability to lead direction of a graphic design team to drive direction and skills of team • Sample portfolio with at least 5 samples of design and/or interactive work • Solid track record for producing effective and compelling design solutions. • Experience with the design of basic graphics as well as other more complex deliverables such microsites, banner advertisements an interactive presentations is essential. • Experience and success with setting and meeting deadlines • Ability to manage projects from concept to delivery • Ability to create and communicate original conceptual ideas while staying within the parameters of each project. • Smart use of typography and highly skilled in creative design with an eye for color, branding and illustration/photography with user interface design • Excellent communication skills and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment • Ability to work independently and as a member of a team. • Experience in the following creative applications: Adobe Illustrator, Adobe Photoshop, Adobe Flash, Adobe Dreamweaver and Adobe InDesign • A love for interactive work and strong knowledge of the interactive space Additional Recommended and/or Desired Skills• Knowledge of the print production process and/or experience working with print vendors • Knowledge of web-standards coding such as CSS, JavaScript, and DHTML • Experience writing for online content is a plus • Knowledge of Flash Compression techniques and file structuring practices. • Knowledge of Flash animation techniques using both the timeline and programmatic motion. • Basic level Flash Actionscript programming. • Knowledge of encoding audio and/or video within Flash.
