Summary

 

Manages and execute the National Accounts sales and marketing strategies for Group Purchasing Contracts (GPO) under his or hers accountability.  Responsible for establishing and maintaining business relationships, including but not limited to contract negotiations, with GPO’s, hospitals, V.A., military, medical buying groups, large health care institutions.  Function as the liaison between corporate office and field sales including training and direction to appropriate sales organizations and independent contractors.

 

Responsibilities

 

· Conduct a business and financial analysis of his or hers respective contract portfolio representing the greatest revenue and market penetration for the company by product line.

· Being aligned with the National Contract Team to develop one, three and five year objectives and strategies to ensure the profit, growth, and expansion of the Breg’s national accounts business.

· Research, analyze, and monitor financial, economic, governmental, and demographic factors and trends for market opportunities and effects of competitive activity.

· Develop processes and recommend pricing and contractual strategies for the contract portfolio he or she has responsibility for that will result in the best interest of the company.

· Travels throughout the country at a 75% rate.

· Teach sales representatives how to successfully sell and negotiate contractual relationships with local buying groups and integrated hospital networks.

· Provide feedback to Breg upper management competitive programs, pricing, etc.

· Coordinate VIP visits to BREG for Key Accounts

· Responsible for taking accountability to demonstrate the organization’s Cultural Beliefs and achieving desired results.  Responsible for driving the Cultural Transition by using such tools as storytelling, focused feedback, and recognition. Performance is aligned with the Culture of Accountability - See It, Own It, Solve It, and Do It.

 

Requirements

 

Bachelor’s or Master’s in marketing or business. Position requires a successful history of National Accounts sales and contract management experience with a medical device company. Also requires experience with GPO’s (Group Purchasing Organization). Must be able to demonstrate exceptional negotiating and presentation skills.  The ability to design, plan and implement programs is essential to the position.  Personnel management experience is preferred. 75% or greater overnight travel required.
