JOB DESCRIPTION:
The National Accounts Manager (NAM) is the resident expert on Stryker pricing and the lead in our GPO (Group Purchasing Organization) relationship. The NAM is responsible for creating and negotiating GPO contracts and developing strategic account planning, sales and marketing strategies for these agreements throughout Stryker Orthopaedics. Along with being the primary Orthopaedic contact for these large contracts, the NAM is also responsible for reviewing, approving, executing and driving all individual hospital contracts for their Area. This involves establishing strong relationships with each Branch, working in partnership with Marketing, Solutions, and Contract Programs and often negotiating these agreements with key customers.Partner with Contract Programs in establishing and monitoring contract metrics and progress and address any performance gapsDevelop internal and external executive client relationshipsAssess market to identify appropriate products and servicesPresent results of contracts to Stryker managementPlan marketing efforts and solicit new businessRepresent Stryker Orthopaedics on key industry panels and task forcesQUALIFICATIONS/WORK EXPERIENCE:
Experience in negotiating Group Purchasing Organization (GPO) or national accounts contracts5 plus years selling experience within the Orthopaedic/medical device industryDemonstrated contract implementation experienceExperience in working with large, multi-location companies operating in multiple statesEDUCATION:
