New Position - IFU & Technical Communication Specialist

We are currently seeking a IFU and Technical communication Specialist. This position is responsible for coordinating the completion of product Instructions For Use (IFU) and other technical communication documents for ev3 peripheral vascular and neurovascular products. This includes the management of language translations, defining/documenting work process and creating/ updating department SOPs. Demonstrating excellent writing, organizational, and project management skills to create and maintain technical communication documents for new and legacy medical device products. This position is located at our manufacturing facility in Plymouth, MN. RESPONSIBILITIES: · Coordinate the completion of Information For Use (IFU) documents for new products under the product development process · Manage the translation process of IFUs and other relevant technical communication documentation · Manage the process to implement changes to IFUs for legacy products · Work cross functionally with members of the product development teams to support creation of technical communication documents (e.g., Tech Notes, White Papers) · Process Document Change Orders (DCO) related to technical communication documents · Drive consistency in content and format of IFUs across products in the same product family/type · Implement processes across Business Units to establish consistency in the content, format, and creation of IFUs and the technical communication documents · Develop and maintain Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) relating to creation and management of technical communication documents · Other duties as assigned or required We offer competitive compensation, generous benefits, and the opportunity to improve the lives of people everywhere. MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS: Education: · Bachelor’s degree in a literary, technical or related field (required) · Advanced degree (desired) · Member of a Technical Writing Association (desired) Experience/Requirements: · 3+ years of experience in the medical device or related technical writing field · 5+ years of writing and/or editing experience · Experience with publishing software (e.g., In-Design, Frame Maker) · Excellent verbal and written communication skills · Demonstrated expertise in medical technical writing · Experience in project managing and working with cross functional teams
