OEM Supplier Quality Engineer, Sboro OEM Supplier Quality Engineer JOB DESCRIPTION JOB TITLE:OEM Supplier Quality Engineer DEPARTMENT (Name and Number):Supply ChainFLSA/LABOR CODE:  REPORT TO:Director of RA/QAxEXEMPT NON EXEMPT   HOURLY DIRECT LABOR INDIRECT LABORDIVISION/LOCATION:Southborough, MA JOB CODE/EEO CODE/JOB GRADE   PURPOSE/SUMMARY (Brief overview of why job exists, general purpose for position) ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES (List of 8 – 10 key tasks required of the job which occupy greater than 5% of the incumbents time)  Leads the effort in creating and implementing OEM Supplier Development quality plans, including Dock-to Stock programs as well as  “Drop Ship” certifications. Demonstrates leadership in a team environment resulting in continuous improvement achievements. Manages the Supplier Corrective Action process to ensure effective, efficient and timely corrective actions are implemented. Required to interact with suppliers, management at all levels and/or customers on quality related concerns from the supply base effecting product compliance, corrective and preventative actions.  Directs the surveying of new OEM suppliers. Leads on-site surveys when supplier performance indicates need for corrective action. Facilitate communication between the Plants or Business (Marketing) Teams and the supply base regarding product requirements, technical discussions and failure analysis. Works with Engineering, Manufacturing and Suppliers in defining and standardizing inspection criteria resulting in Source Book Drawing generation.  Analyzes individual part number receiving inspection history to identify potential candidates for Dock-to Stock program. Prepares monthly summaries of supplier performance data and improvement activities. Technical lead and contact on outsourcing of turnkey products currently or previously made in house. Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions. EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE · A minimum of 2-5 years quality engineering and 2-3 years manufacturing engineering prior experience with a medical device product required. · Must have working knowledge of Quality Systems ISO13485. · MDD & QSR, Qualified candidates must show demonstrated experience working from new product identification through production launch, working closely with Marketing, Supply Chain, R&D or Manufacturing to develop practical solutions to complex problems. · Must be proficient in MS office suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint). · Ideal candidates are team oriented with strong written and verbal communication skills, and have the ability to create positive working relationships cross functionally at all levels. · Must be willing to travel 20-30% of the time both domestic and international. · Oracle experience a plus.· 4 year Engineering degree required CERTIFICATES, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS ESSENTIAL KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIESLANGUAGE SKILLS (verbal, written, listening), SOFTWARE SKILLS, ANALYTICAL SKILLS, MATHEMATICAL SKILLS, PRESENTATION SKILLS, TEAM PLAYER, ETC. PHYSICAL DEMANDS (e.g., expectations of such items as weight needed to move or lift) Lift/Carry 25 lbs  Bend/Stoop/Kneel 2 hrs a day Push/Pull 50+ lbs Microscope/Fine close work 8 hrs a dayxStand/Sit/Walk 8 hrs a day Dexterity required Vision requirements correctable to 20/20 vision Operate moving vehicles   Other
