P.C. Technician II

This position will provide hardware and software support for all network and user devices including workstations and LAN components.

1. Assists in the maintenance and administration of Local Area Network (LAN).
2. Provides installation and maintenance of workstation hardware and software.
3. Assists in the enforcement of network security and data integrity policies.
4. Monitors and adheres to corporate and local division network policies and procedures.
5. Assists in the evaluation and recommendation of new hardware and software solutions.
6. Documents and retains accurate hardware and software inventories.
7. Maintains accurate network topology maps and addressing schemes.

This position requires 3-5 years schooling and/or experience in installing and maintaining an environment of Intel based desktop and laptop computers running Microsoft Windows 95 through XP operating systems. An understanding of LAN technologies and TCP/IP protocols is preferred. Works independently to provide support for local and remote users. Assists Network administrator in maintaining Novell Netware 5.x and 6.x.

Excellent technical skills combined with strong oral and written communications. The ability to work with management and to provide quality customer service.
