Summary:
Responsible for providing distribution and warehouse assistance such as product assembly, shipping, receiving of units and parts orders while ensuring all paperwork is filed correctly.
Scope:
This position involves a high degree of job structure. Under moderate supervision, the employee will perform tasks that are straightforward, somewhat repetitive and require some review of work. The employee is expected to use some discretion with predetermined limits and procedures.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
• Assemble durable medical equipment (Scooters and Power Chairs) at the Distribution Center, using basic hand and power tools
• Provide “World Class” customer service to our walk – in customers, or via the telephone
• Assist with inventory control procedures, to include receiving new inventory, accurately completing paperwork to reconcile inventory discrepancies and organizing the warehouse to maintain the orderly appearance of the facility
• Assist and support the Distribution Center in any function required
Education and/or Experience:
High school diploma or general education degree (GED); or one to three years related job experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.

The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required. • Ability to read and comprehend short memos, forms and instructions. Ability to write simple correspondence such as short notes, brief forms or instructions
• Ability to perform simple math functions, such as counting, adding, subtracting, multiplying, or dividing.
• Possess basic computer skills
Other Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
• Basic mechanical aptitude
• Ability to demonstrate exceptional communication and customer service skills
• 1-2 years of assembly skills preferred; assembly skills in the durable medical equipment industry a plus
• 1 year inventory control experience
• General warehousing skills preferred
• Ability to lift/move 25-50 lbs several times a day
• Bilingual communication/literacy skills a plus
• Basic computer skills including Microsoft Word and Excel
• Ability to drive a Walkie Stacker to unload product from delivery trucks (training provided)
