Our rapidly growing company, with over 2500 dedicated employees, is currently seeking a highly accomplished Pick/Pack Clerk committed to taking us to even higher levels of growth, innovation and customer service. Our opportunity is located at our Miltex site in York, PA. Miltex, Inc., is one of the largest and most respected suppliers of hand-held surgical and dental products serving the healthcare dealer market.
The Pick/Pack Clerk will be responsible for the following: Accurately picks, packs and ships products in a manner to ensure consistent on-time delivery of orders by performing the following duties. The hours of this position are 9:30am-6:00pm Monday-Friday.
Essential Duties and ResponsibilitiesTo perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily.
· Reads pick ticket to determine items to be selected to fill the customer orders.
· Assembles customer orders by accurately picking and counting items to fill the orders from stock, placing orders on pallets, shelves or in containers.
· Inspect items for label accuracy.
· Record an accurate count for each item selected on pick ticket and initial the document.
· Operate ClipperShip shipping machine.
· Generates packing list from Dataflo System.
· Prepares items for shipment by verifying item and count for accuracy against customer order.
· Affixes labels and method of shipping on packages.
· Affixes shipping information on packaging and onto shipping documentation.
· Update all shipping records and computer information.
· Uses the computer to maintain record accuracy by making inventory adjustments to reflect usage, disbursements, shipments, location changes, status changes or to retrieve and verify information.
· Maintains inventory of packaging supplies.
· Conforms packaging to company's criteria and standards.
· Operates forklift when deemed appropriate by Assistant Shipping Supervisor or Distribution Manager.
· Observes Company’s safety policy and procedures at all times.
· Gives and welcomes constructive feedback; contributes to building a positive team spirit.
· Treats others with respect; works with integrity and ethically; upholds organizational values.
· Keeps work area in an orderly fashion.
Minimum Qualifications
The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required for this position.
Education/Skills
High school diploma or general education degree (GED). 1 to 3 months related experience.
Forklift certification preferred.
To perform this job successfully, an individual must have basic computer skills.
