Pr Product Development Engineer

The successful candidate will lead and mentor other engineers in the design and development of introducer- and catheter-based medical devices in a dynamic, team-based environment. Responsibilities include: Prototype, design, and analyze new product concepts; Establish catheter design and performance specifications; Develop analysis and test methods to verify device performance with respect to specifications; Develop regulatory submission level FEMAs, design verification test protocols, and test methods; Execute engineering documentation; Perform rigorous data analysis; Plan and lead test execution, Facilitate teams for activities such as design requirements, root cause analysis, planning, etc.  Qualifications BSME and 9–13 years relevant experience. MSME and 7–11 years relevant experience.  Demonstrated track record in new product development from concept to product launch. Experience with analysis tools such as MiniTab, FEA, and Weibull Analysis. Demonstrated leadership behaviors including drive for excellence, coaching/mentoring teams, attention to detail, and appropriate urgency. Experience with medical devices is preferred, however excellent experience in other industries considered. Six Sigma, LEAN, and Design for Manufacturing experience and certification a plus.
