(MRINetwork) is the world's largest executive search and recruitment organization with a global network of more than 1,100 offices and 4,500 recruiting professionals.  Founded in 1966 and consisting of five offices across New England, The Boston Group is MRI’s oldest, largest, and most highly acclaimed member. Company Information: The Client is a global producer of cardiovascular therapeutic devices and related products.  They are also a top maker of cardiac pacing devices (pacemakers and implanted defibrillators).  In addition, they supply cardiac and peripheral vascular repair surgical systems, including less-invasive devices that reduce pain and speed recovery time.  Primary markets include the US, Europe and Japan.  Following a  brief period of internal consolidation, the Client has identified the need for key new employees in the Engineering Department.  One of these positions is a PRINCIPAL SCIENTIST  who will be responsible for the initiation, design, development, execution and implementation of scientific research projects Job DescriptionThe PRINCIPAL SCIENTIST will: Investigate the feasibility of applying scientific principles and concepts to potential technologies in the areas of heart failure therapy. Plan and execute laboratory research to prove the feasibility of these concepts Incorporate the results of laboratory research into papers for inclusion in scientific literature and conferences Participate in intellectual property evaluations and development of patent applications . Consult and interact with internal and external experts Present interpreted statistical analyses and results in written and oral presentations Perform data analysis for publications and abstracts Coordinate interdepartmental activities and research efforts.  Job Requirements:The PRINCIPAL SCIENTIST  will have:  PhD/MS/BS in Biomedical Engineering   5+ years experience (PhD); 10+ years experience (BS) in medical device research   Strong knowledge of cardiac or neurocardiac physiology and physiologic signal processing Peripheral neuromodulation and neural engineering experience  Knowledge of  C/C++/Matlab programming Experience Strong oral and written communication skills, Demonstrated experience in leading technical professionals Key Words are: PhD/MS/BS, Biomedical Engineering,  heart failure, cardiac, medical device, research., C/C++/Matlab Qualified candidates please submit your resume and salary requirements as an MS Word attachment to  jkroehler@mri-boston.com .  Due to the large volume of resumes received, only candidates meeting requirements will be contacted.
