Job Description Product Marketing Manager LC/MS Product Marketing Manager — LC/MS   The Product Marketing Manager will be responsible for identifying and targeting new domestic and international markets to increase sales and market share for Thermo HPLC/MS and UHPLC/MS single quadrupole products.  Ideal candidates will be highly skilled, highly motivated individuals, with prior experience in LCMS operation and marketing.  Position requires travel.   Description of duties/Responsibilities   Conduct and maintain competitive market research to identify key application and marketing opportunities for HPLC, and LC/MS Products. Develop product definitions and business plans for new products and marketing initiatives to address global market opportunities. Actively participate with cross-functional teams to develop design specifications, test plans, validation protocols, product release and roll-out within ISO 9001 environment.  Provide technical and marketing expertise, collateral, and training for targeted sales in pharmaceutical, biotech, and other industries.  Study and document product performance in key applications.  Use this information to strongly position products in the market. Manage and contribute to the generation of data and support materials for product marketing initiatives. Represent products in presentations, publications, and customer labs worldwide. Contribute forecasting information to the production planning process Establish and manage external collaborations.   Education:  Minimum of a Master’s degree or equivalent in analytical chemistry or related field required.  Ph.D. preferred.   Years of Experience:  5-10 years   Special Training/Skills Required:  Technical expertise in HPLC and quadrupole mass spectrometry instrumentation, methods, and applications.  Strong writing and presentation skills are essential.  Demonstrated leadership skills in team settings where team members are not direct reports.  Education: Masters Job Level: Manager
